Postify is an all-in-one communication platform for managing WhatsApp messaging, social media posts, Google Business profiles, and related services. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide and data generated through use of our services:
- Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), and workspace/team details when you sign up or manage your account.
- Connected accounts: when you connect Facebook, Instagram, Google Business, or WhatsApp, we receive and store tokens and identifiers necessary to provide posting, messaging, and analytics (e.g. page IDs, access tokens, app-scoped user IDs). We do not store your social media passwords.
- Content and usage: posts you create, schedule, or publish; messages you send via our platform; logs of API and app usage; and analytics data (e.g. post performance) that we or third-party platforms provide.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and similar data when you use our website or app.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Postify platform and services.
- Authenticate you and manage your account and workspace.
- Post and schedule content to connected social and messaging channels on your behalf.
- Send and manage messages (e.g. WhatsApp) and display inbox and analytics.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
- Send service-related communications (e.g. security or product updates), where permitted by law.
3. Integration with third-party platforms (Meta/Facebook, Instagram, Google, WhatsApp)
When you connect Facebook, Instagram, Google Business, or WhatsApp to Postify, we receive data from those platforms in accordance with their policies and your authorisation. We use that data only to provide the features you use (e.g. posting, messaging, analytics). Each platform has its own privacy policy:
If you remove our app from your Facebook or Instagram account and request data deletion, Meta may send a data deletion request to our server. We process such requests and delete the data we hold that is associated with your app-scoped user ID (e.g. connected account and token data). You can find more under “Data deletion” below.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the service works.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with law, or resolve disputes. When you delete your account or request deletion, we delete or anonymise your data in line with this policy and our internal procedures, except where we must retain it for legal or legitimate operational reasons.
6. Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers that help us operate the platform (e.g. hosting, analytics), under strict confidentiality and data-processing terms.
- Third-party platforms (Meta, Google, WhatsApp, etc.) when you choose to connect them, to the extent required to provide the connected features.
- Law enforcement or other parties when required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data (e.g. encryption, access controls, secure connections). No system is completely secure; we encourage strong passwords and careful use of your account.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access and receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct or update your data.
- Request deletion of your data (see “Data deletion” below).
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability (e.g. receive your data in a machine-readable format).
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9. Data deletion
You can request deletion of your data in the following ways:
- From Postify: Delete your account or request deletion via the app or by contacting us. We will delete or anonymise your personal data in line with our retention policy.
- After removing our app from Facebook/Instagram: When you remove Postify from your Facebook or Instagram account and choose to send a data deletion request, Meta notifies our server. We then delete the data we hold that is linked to your Facebook app-scoped user ID (e.g. connected account and token information). You will receive a confirmation code and a link to check the status of your request.
If you do not see your data in our systems (e.g. you never connected an account), there is nothing for us to delete for that identifier; you can disregard such requests.
10. Children
Our service is not directed at children under the age required by their jurisdiction (e.g. 13 in the US). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions) where required by law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
